Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our jewelry store as an Assistant Store Manager. This position is ideal for someone with some prior experience in the jewelry retail industry who is ready to take on more responsibility and advance their career. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, staff management, and inventory control. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills and contribute to the success of our store.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Customer Service: Assist the Store Manager in driving sales and achieving revenue targets. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, offering product knowledge, and closing sales. Develop relationships with customers to promote repeat business and customer loyalty.
  2. Staff Supervision and Development: Support the Store Manager in managing and motivating the sales team. Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new employees. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve sales techniques, customer service skills, and product knowledge. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  3. Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels, including receiving, pricing, and organizing merchandise. Collaborate with the Store Manager to conduct regular inventory counts and ensure accurate stock records. Assist in analyzing sales data to identify trends and optimize stock assortment.
  4. Store Operations: As the Assistant Store Mangaer, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing day-to-day store operations. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols. Help maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  5. Visual Merchandising: Assist in creating visually appealing displays and arranging showcases to highlight products effectively. Ensure merchandise is properly tagged and labeled. Continuously assess and improve store layout and visual presentation to maximize sales opportunities.
  6. Sales Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze sales data to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Assist in generating sales reports and providing insights to the Store Manager. Contribute to strategic decision-making and planning based on sales trends and customer preferences.
  7. Customer Relations and Conflict Resolution: Your role as the Assistant Store Mananger, you will help handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Work with the Store Manager to address and resolve customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a positive store reputation.
  8. Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties, including record-keeping, scheduling, and staff communication. Help maintain accurate customer databases and assist in executing marketing initiatives, such as promotional campaigns and events.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college education preferred)
  • Passion for achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the jewelry retail industry, including sales and customer service
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and point-of-sale software
  • Knowledge of jewelry materials, gemstones, and industry trends
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is a plus
